Senior Software Engineer – Foundation Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and create highly scalable and efficient services and APIs within a Java ecosystem.

• Develop code for authentication, account management, and integrations with external partners.

• Incorporate AI coding agents and frameworks into your processes to enhance development speed, refactor outdated components, and elevate code quality.

• Take ownership of the entire technical lifecycle, which includes estimation, design, development, and delivery.

• Collaborate throughout the organization to ensure the success of projects. You will frequently interact with QA, Finance, Marketing, Product Management, Support, and Security to collect essential context and requirements for accurate implementation of solutions.

• Troubleshoot complex issues and uphold the stability of large-scale systems.

• Work across functional teams and provide technical leadership to promote engineering excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A proven history of successful project deliveries and effectively shipping complex software systems.

• Over 7 years of experience with Java and an in-depth understanding of backend architecture.

• Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini, Cursor, Claude Code) in your engineering workflow.

• Familiarity with modern data, containerization, and observability:

• Backend development with Vitess, Cassandra, and Redis.

• Experience with Docker and container-based environments.

• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch.

• Comfortable operating in a cross-platform environment (we develop on MacBooks for software that runs on Linux).

• Strong understanding of HTTP principles and best practices for secure access.

• A keen eagerness to learn and adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and tools.
