Senior Software Engineer, Community Support Engineering – Agent Core Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate across functions with product, design, and engineering teams to implement product and business strategies, while developing innovative products and features.

• Lead and participate in the entire development cycle, encompassing technical design, development, test automation, experimentation, analysis, and launch.

• Evaluate code and design documents, offering constructive feedback on product specifications and mockups.

• Create high-quality, efficient, and reusable frontend web components that prioritize performance and scalability.

• Design and develop server-side APIs to meet frontend requirements.

• Work alongside Machine Learning and Generative AI Engineers to enhance Community Support systems.

• Contribute to technical direction through engineering design discussions.

• Define technical vision and deliver adaptable, efficient, and scalable solutions.

• Mentor junior developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of industry experience.

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in architecting frontend systems and managing end-to-end features and cross-team integrations.

• Proficiency in building large web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with modern JavaScript/TypeScript libraries and tools, such as React and GraphQL.

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and associated web technologies.

• Proven track record in accessibility, performance optimization, and best client practices.

• Possess a product-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills; adept at facilitating cross-organization collaboration with partner teams.

• Experience in developing UI for AI-driven features, including classical supervised machine learning and Generative AI.

• Proficient in one or more backend server languages, such as Java or Kotlin.

• Experience in mentoring junior developers.

• Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. maintains a registered entity.
