Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and deliver key AI-driven product features from initial problem identification to production rollout and performance assessment.

• Design, construct, and enhance production-level LLM systems, including RAG pipelines, AI agents, embedding workflows, evaluation frameworks, and fine-tuning processes.

• Make architectural and system design choices for backend services, databases (both SQL and vector), APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

• Engage thoroughly with the business domain (marketing, SEO, GEO, content automation) to facilitate informed product and engineering decisions.

• Link every engineering choice to user outcomes—prioritizing questions like “does this enhance revenue or retention?” before considering “is this technically sophisticated?”

• Work closely with founders and cross-functional teams, functioning as a product-oriented engineer rather than merely following specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong command of Python as the primary programming language.

• Comprehensive understanding of system design, API design, SQL and vector databases, and cloud infrastructure.

• Experience in building and deploying real production systems utilizing LLMs, RAG pipelines, agents, embeddings, evaluations, or fine-tuning.

• Recognizes the limitations of models—not just the buzzwords. Can clearly differentiate between RAG and fine-tuning and knows when to implement each.

• Capable of taking an ambiguous problem, defining a solution, developing it, and measuring its impact independently.

• Proven history of shipping products autonomously and iterating based on authentic user and business feedback.

• Eagerness and capacity to gain a deep understanding of the business domain (marketing, SEO, GEO, content) to make informed product decisions.

• Regularly links engineering choices to user outcomes, revenue implications, and retention statistics.

• Asks “does this benefit customers?” before focusing on technical sophistication.

• Contributions to open-source projects or a published technical blog showcasing substantial thought leadership.

• Familiarity with GEO, SEO, AI search, or content automation systems.

• Experience as a founding engineer or in a 0-to-1 product role at an early-stage startup.
