Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the future development of our Loan Origination and Servicing platform

• Create and implement scalable applications and services that deliver real-time insights and manage complex financial workflows

• Take ownership of features from start to finish — encompassing architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing iteration

• Design and enhance our core technology stack (Python, FastAPI, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes)

• Convert intricate business and product requirements into effective, dependable technical solutions

• Propel enhancements in performance, reliability, testing, and CI/CD methodologies

• Guide engineers and foster a culture of engineering excellence and accountability

• Execute additional responsibilities as required

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software development experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)

• Extensive experience in building APIs and backend services using Python, including OpenAPI-based service contracts

• Proficient in developing and deploying containerized applications within AWS environments, including event-driven architectures

• Preferably experienced in real estate finance or financial services

• Advanced proficiency in Python (3.6+) and contemporary backend frameworks like FastAPI

• Strong knowledge of SQL databases, covering schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning

• Capable of designing efficient, scalable backend systems, including background processing, queues, caching strategies, and scheduled jobs

• Solid understanding of testing strategies across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels

• Familiar with system design documentation practices, including UML and architectural diagrams

• Knowledgeable in event sourcing and/or Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles

• Ability to utilize AI-enabled development tools to improve design, implementation, and testing workflows

• Proven ownership mindset with a dedication to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
