Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services and APIs utilizing TypeScript and Node.js.

• Construct and maintain full-stack applications with React and Next.js.

• Participate in architectural decisions, data modeling, and deployment of production-grade systems.

• Create secure, reliable, and maintainable systems for high-volume transactions and financial workflows.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to outline technical solutions and enhance platform capabilities.

• Engage in code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and deployment strategies.

• Diagnose complex technical challenges and proactively suggest system enhancements.

• Contribute to technical discussions and offer insights into product and engineering choices.

• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices within the team.

• Operate effectively in a remote-first and highly collaborative setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• C1 level English proficiency or equivalent.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong backend development expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.

• Professional experience with React and Next.js.

• Experience in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend architectures.

• Practical knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and production deployments.

• Professional experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Excellent written English communication skills.

• Ability to operate independently while effectively collaborating with distributed teams.

• **Preferred Qualifications**

• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, insurance, or other regulated sectors.

• Exposure to financial compliance environments or transaction-processing systems.

• Experience in building or maintaining payment flows, escrow systems, reconciliation processes, or financial ledgers.

• Familiarity with capital markets, M&A workflows, broker-dealer systems, or compliance tools.

• Experience working with highly regulated infrastructure environments.

• Prior experience mentoring engineers or engaging in technical leadership initiatives.

• Experience in remote-first or globally distributed teams.
