Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of, maintain, and enhance scalable data pipelines that support Antenna’s newly launched Subscriber Views product. Actively identify failures, investigate root causes, and implement corrective measures to avoid future issues.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Antenna's core data models to effectively collaborate with the Data Operations and Data Science teams.

• Work alongside the Data Science and Data Operations teams to ensure datasets are reliable, comprehensible, and utilized for self-service purposes.

• Collaborate with a diverse array of cross-functional stakeholders to gather and define project requirements.

• Document, simplify, and articulate complex issues to a variety of audiences.

• Establish best practices for developing specialized datasets designed for analytics and modeling purposes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on data infrastructure or platform engineering.

• Proficient in building data pipelines using tools such as Spark or dbt, managing data in major cloud warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks, and orchestrating workflows with tools like Dagster or Airflow.

• Expertise in writing SQL and proficient programming skills in at least one general-purpose language, such as Python, for creating pipelines, custom integrations, automation scripts, and web services.

• Ability to independently navigate complex and unfamiliar systems to identify and resolve challenging bugs.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate proactively, consistently, and effectively with cross-functional team members and stakeholders.

• A self-starter who can manage multiple initiatives, prioritize time and resources, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• A strong advocate for utilizing automation tools and AI-driven solutions to optimize data workflows and enhance data product reliability.

• Bonus: Experience in designing backend web services, managing cloud resources using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Pulumi, and creating maintainable systems to address complex customer challenges.

• Bonus: Industry experience with receipt, transaction, or viewership data is a plus.
