This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Lead Quality initiatives at customer installation locations, concentrating on the identification and swift resolution of issues through structured quality methodologies.
• Manage up to three Symbotic Installation sites concurrently, providing training and supervising a dedicated local QC resource (QCIT) at each site, ensuring all Quality surveillance and inspections are performed promptly while effectively communicating issues and results to the site team and relevant Installation Contractors.
• Monitor installation partners to guarantee compliance with all installation processes and adherence to critical quality parameters.
• Plan, implement, and oversee quality activities with suppliers and customer sites, establishing a high standard to prevent or minimize quality issues.
• Utilize the 8-D Corrective Action request methodology to conduct efficient and effective root cause analysis, as well as corrective and preventive actions ensuring no recurrence.
• Relay issues throughout our operations team and facilitate closed-loop problem resolution.
• Assist Manufacturing and Quality Assurance in addressing discrepant materials and qualifying new materials/processes to meet reliability requirements.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean techniques to enhance quality and process improvements.
• Leverage root cause methodologies to analyze product failures and devise corrective and preventive actions.
• Motivate others to share their knowledge and support during technical discussions.
• Mentor and coach site quality personnel to effectively implement quality SOPs for identifying and resolving issues.
• Frequent travel is required, up to 75%.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of Quality Engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in all aspects of quality management: quality concepts/tools/methods (FMEA, DOE, MSA, GRR, 8D, etc.).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, capable of translating findings into actionable business strategies.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Development Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
• Solid foundation in process engineering with the ability to identify critical control points.
• Proven project management and teamwork skills with a track record of consistently meeting aggressive deadlines.
• Capacity to cultivate and sustain productive cross-functional relationships.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with Control Plans, FMEAs, and the PPAP or equivalent part approval processes.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills for determining root causes (8D, A3) and utilizing statistical analysis tools.
• Familiarity with reliability methods and failure mode analysis (DFMEA, PFMEA).
• Proficient in statistical process control software such as SAA, Minitab, JMP, and MATLAB.
• Advanced Excel skills for data organization and analysis.
• Determination to achieve results, with the ability to adapt to constantly changing circumstances.
• Demonstrated experience in influencing and driving corrective actions with large global suppliers.
