Senior Security Software Engineer, Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Join a dynamic and enthusiastic security team, collaborating closely with development and product teams.

• Perform vulnerability triage: manage both internal and external vulnerability reports, while also going beyond investigation to implement your own fixes.

• Analyze code and assist in making informed decisions regarding secure coding practices.

• Evaluate new product features to ensure they are developed with security considerations in mind.

• Work alongside other developers and teams to achieve long-term security objectives.

• Develop solutions for preventative measures and create alerts.

• Utilize your investigative skills to reach the AH-HA! moment when identifying and replicating the root cause of an issue and determining the fix.

• You will be passionate and engaged with our product, mission, and overall success—much more than just completing tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in web application security.

• Extensive experience in code reviews, security assessments, security architecture, penetration testing, and bug bounty programs.

• Experience working on full-stack projects.

• Proficient in identifying and remedying common web security vulnerabilities.

• Familiarity with web application penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite).

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs).

• Capable of articulating complex concepts clearly in both verbal and written forms to diverse audiences.

• Understanding of the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.

• Experience in creating security automation using GitHub Actions or similar methods.
