This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
• Safeguard and fortify cloud infrastructure, applications, APIs, internal systems, and operational workflows.
• Establish and uphold security measures across production environments, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and internal tools.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address vulnerabilities and enhance secure development methodologies.
• Oversee encryption, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and access controls.
• Design and refine security architecture for cloud-native and distributed systems.
• Develop scalable security processes that are integrated into engineering and operational workflows.
• Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and resolve security vulnerabilities.
• Execute vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, adversarial testing, threat modeling, and manual security assessments.
• Coordinate remediation efforts and verify solutions.
• Protect AI-driven systems and automated agents from prompt injection, adversarial inputs, unauthorized actions, unsafe outputs, and data breaches.
• Create guardrails and validation layers for actions generated by AI.
• Monitor AI behavior for irregularities, abuse attempts, and unsafe decision-making.
• Enhance security monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response processes.
• Investigate suspicious activities, anomalies, and potential security incidents.
• Lead or assist in incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
• Recommend and implement preventive measures post-incident or after security findings.
• Over 7 years of practical experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, application security, DevSecOps, or offensive security.
• In-depth knowledge of the AWS ecosystem.
• Experience in identifying and remedying vulnerabilities in live production environments.
• Capability to lead projects, make informed decisions, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic setting.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical security issues to engineering stakeholders.
• Preference for candidates with experience securing AI/LLM-powered systems or automated agents.
• Familiarity with prompt injection attacks, adversarial AI techniques, AI guardrails, and behavioral anomaly detection is preferred.
• Experience with cloud security tools, SIEM and observability platforms, penetration testing tools, endpoint security solutions, and infrastructure-as-code security is preferred.
• Previous experience in high-growth startups, fintech, banking, or payments sectors is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty, or similar are preferred.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States or Canada, with sponsorship status disclosed.
