Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address security incidents promptly and effectively.

• Investigate security incidents to determine root causes and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.

• Maintain communication with stakeholders throughout the incident response process.

• Develop runbooks for common scenarios and prepare for automation.

• Assess tools and processes, automating wherever feasible using SIEM integrations and workflows.

• Oversee threat and vulnerability management initiatives.

• Keep track of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

• Manage vulnerability reporting services and oversee remediation metrics.

• Cultivate relationships and influence remediation outcomes through effective reporting and risk management.

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to promote a security-first culture.

• Spearhead multidisciplinary and multimedia campaigns focused on security education and awareness.

• Stay updated on advancements in security operations and incident response.

• Collaborate with the security team to conduct phishing campaigns, manage SIEM incidents, and engage in purple team exercises with the internal red team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of security fundamentals, including networking, authentication, operating systems, cloud technologies, and encryption.

• Experience in responding to incidents across end-user computing, public cloud server infrastructures, and containerized environments.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation.

• Experience with SIEM and EDR tools.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST.

• Expertise in incident response and vulnerability management.
