This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a true business partner rather than a gatekeeper.
• Collaborate with teams early in the process to grasp their objectives and motivations — then assist them in achieving those goals securely.
• Convert intricate security risks into straightforward business terminology, enabling stakeholders to make informed and confident decisions.
• Negotiate pragmatic solutions that harmonize business momentum with security best practices.
• Manage security initiatives comprehensively — from identifying gaps and selecting solutions to implementation and handoff.
• Work alongside both teams throughout the process, not just at the conclusion.
• Take ownership of the creation and execution of a progressive, cloud-first security architecture vision.
• Identify deficiencies in our current security posture and investigate emerging technologies.
• Advocate for standardized security architecture frameworks to continually advance our security practices.
• Define and uphold Terraform-based configuration standards and contemporary identity management practices.
• Ensure that data and application security are integral to everything we develop.
• Oversee our network penetration testing program, coordinating around five third-party engagements annually.
• Design cybersecurity solutions that align with enterprise policies while remaining practical for teams to implement.
• Elevate security awareness across the enterprise through ongoing training and communication.
• Over 8 years of demonstrated experience as a security architect.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS and/or GCP.
• Proficient with security tools and technologies, including Wiz and Cloudflare.
• Strong understanding of security architecture frameworks such as NIST CSF 2.0 and NIST AI RMF.
• Experience in building and maintaining security systems focused on data and application security.
• Practical experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication systems, log management, anti-virus, and content filtering.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network configurations, devices, and security monitoring tools.
• Up-to-date awareness of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Familiarity with web technologies, web services, and service-oriented architectures and their related protocols.
• Proven capability to negotiate and influence effectively.
• Strong business acumen.

• Exceptional communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an additional 3 years of equivalent experience.
