Senior SAP ABAP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend components for cutting-edge lending solutions utilizing ABAP and other SAP technologies.

• Construct high-quality standard software within an agile setting, working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and partners.

• Collaborate effectively with front-end developers, designers, and product owners to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and address technical challenges.

• Ensure engineering excellence through structured testing (including unit, integration, and UAT support), adherence to clean code principles, and ongoing improvements.

• Develop and uphold extensive technical documentation.

• Keep abreast of advancements in S/4HANA, RAP, and SAP BTP.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of experience in ABAP object-oriented development (experience in the financial sector is advantageous).

• Mandatory proficiency in OData, Core Data Services (CDS), and ABAP RESTful Application Programming (RAP).

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, including its services, deployment methods, and integration concepts.

• Familiarity with modern SAP development tools like Business Application Studio (BAS), Eclipse, and Visual Studio is preferred.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for simplifying technical complexities.

• Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Fluency in English.
