Senior Right of Way Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Assist in the acquisition of rights-of-way, land leasing, permitting, and provide construction support for oil and gas, wind, solar, and transmission projects.

• Build trust and foster long-lasting positive relationships between clients and landowners.

• Make independent decisions when collaborating with landowners and stakeholders.

• Organize meetings with landowners and project stakeholders to facilitate communication.

• Negotiate and secure fee titles, easements, leases, licenses, and permits.

• Anticipate potential damage areas prior to construction activities.

• Conduct research on land sales.

• Clearly explain project scope, timelines, processes, contracts, and financial agreements to landowners.

• Provide project managers with regular updates on land acquisition progress.

• Prepare necessary documentation for agreements and permitting forms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in reviewing title work, landowner acquisition, permitting, and other real estate-related functions.

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal statutory requirements concerning land acquisitions and real estate permitting.

• Experience with electric transmission and/or oil and gas linear acquisition projects.

• A strong desire to pursue a career as a Right-of-Way professional.

• Must possess a Wisconsin Real Estate Agent license or be willing to obtain one.

• Preference for IRWA Membership or experience in real estate sales/brokerage.

• Understanding of project budgeting, cash flows, scheduling, and staffing.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Solid familiarity with ArcGIS software and Google Earth.

• Ability to navigate and identify specific properties in the field.

• Willingness to travel and work overnight, up to 50% of the time.
