Senior Quality Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in the initiation of the mobile project by establishing the test strategy, automation architecture, standards, and best practices;

• Design, implement, and execute both manual and automated tests for mobile (Android) and web applications;

• Create, sustain, and enhance automated test scripts utilizing Robot Framework, primarily focusing on Appium;

• Ensure seamless communication and integration between mobile and web automation tests across various browsers;

• Collaborate effectively with the web team to maintain consistent quality across interconnected systems;

• Develop and manage test cases, BDD scenarios, acceptance criteria, and quality checklists;

• Work with BDD and Gherkin, partnering with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders;

• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end validation testing;

• Partner with developers to mitigate defects, enhance quality, and improve system testability;

• Conduct code reviews of automated test scripts;

• Support and advance CI/CD pipelines, including the execution of automated tests;

• Log, monitor, and validate bug fixes using Jira;

• Suggest continuous enhancements to processes, tools, and test methodologies;

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and assist in the development of interns and junior Quality Assurance professionals, particularly in automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a mid-level QA (QA Pleno)

• At least 3 years of experience in mobile automation utilizing Appium and Robot Framework

• Strong background in both manual and automated testing

• Practical understanding of BDD and Gherkin methodologies

• Proficient in best practices for manual and automated testing

• Experience with web automation through Robot Framework

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git / Bitbucket) and conducting code reviews

• Knowledge of design patterns relevant to automation (Page Object, layered architectures, reuse of keywords)

• Experience with CI/CD processes, including running automated tests within pipelines

• Proficient in using Jira for task management, bug tracking, and test tracking

• Understanding of API testing, including contract validation and functional endpoint testing

• Experience with Postman for both manual and automated testing

• Knowledge of databases, including basic query skills (SELECT, JOIN, INSERT) and post-execution data validation

• Familiarity with load and performance testing, including concepts of stress, load, and volume, along with basic result analysis

• Acquainted with Android environments: emulators, physical devices, and device farms

• Experience working within agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
