Senior QA Engineer – DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Analyze requirements and user stories to uncover ambiguities, risks, and gaps in testability.

• Create and sustain test plans, test cases, checklists, and maintain traceability to requirements, while developing reusable test data aligned with functional needs.

• Conduct manual testing for new features, encompassing functional, smoke, regression, exploratory testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Perform test coverage analysis, identify gaps, prioritize risks, and enhance test coverage through both manual and automated testing to boost release confidence.

• Develop, refactor, and uphold Selenium WebDriver frameworks in C# to ensure coverage for smoke, functional, and end-to-end testing suites.

• Execute automated regression tests, analyze outcomes, troubleshoot any failures, and collaborate with development teams to determine root causes.

• Document, triage, verify, and track defects in JIRA, providing clear reproduction steps, logs, screenshots or videos, and impact assessments.

• Contribute to the establishment of QA best practices, tooling standards, documentation, and process improvement initiatives alongside Development and DevOps teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of QA experience in both manual and automation testing, preferably in support of cloud-based enterprise SaaS solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated experience in automating web application tests using C#, alongside robust test documentation practices.

• Comprehensive understanding of QA processes, best practices, and testing methodologies, including risk-based testing and Agile-aligned delivery.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating high ownership, self-motivation, and a quick learning curve.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with effective collaboration across teams.

• A strong passion for quality and a commitment to continuous improvement through process, tooling, and automation enhancements.

• Domain knowledge and experience in ERP or other enterprise platforms such as finance, payroll, supply chain, CRM, or e-commerce is highly advantageous.

• Technical Skills: Test Automation: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright.

• Programming: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET.

• CI/CD, Docker & Atlassian Stack: Atlassian Bamboo, Docker, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA.

• AWS / Cloud: AWS, Azure, S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS, IAM, SQS, SNS, API Gateway.

• Other Useful Skills: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Postman, cURL, Swagger, PowerShell, Bash, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Hyper-V, Node.js.
