This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance the database platform while adapting it for cloud technologies.
• Ensure the components are highly scalable and maintainable.
• Contribute to and review designs and code produced by fellow team members.
• Conduct testing and provide tools to keep systems up-to-date.
• Collaborate with various teams to address database-related issues.
• Assist in the migration process from VMs to Kubernetes.
• Over 8 years of exceptional experience in Python development.
• Proficient in Kubernetes, with experience in writing operators being desirable.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs.
• Extensive experience with MySQL, Cassandra, Redis, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud services such as GCP and Azure.
• Outstanding communication and self-management abilities.
• Previous experience in designing and developing tools for other engineers (Nice To Have).
• Background in game development or familiarity with game engines (Nice To Have).
• Experience managing large-scale services, supporting up to millions of concurrent users (Nice To Have).
• Knowledge of Vitess or similar technologies (Nice To Have).
• Experience with Go Lang and sharding techniques (Nice To Have).
