Senior Product Manager – Platform, Integrations, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the implementation of the product roadmap for essential retail platforms, integrations, and data foundations, collaborating with the Director of Product on roadmap prioritization.

• Convert intricate operational and business requirements into scalable, reusable platform functionalities instead of tailored solutions.

• Spearhead product development for capabilities related to Order Management Systems (OMS), including order lifecycle management, inventory visibility, fulfillment orchestration, routing, splits, cancellations, and returns.

• Develop and refine integration patterns, APIs, and data contracts across OMS, Point of Sale (POS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Customer Engagement Platforms (CEP), Customer Data Platforms (CDP), and analytics systems.

• Take ownership of requirements for eventing, instrumentation, and data quality standards; establish and uphold the governance framework for essential data domains (customer, order, product, inventory).

• Collaborate with Data and Analytics teams to support reliable reporting, agent-enabled insights, self-service analytics, and downstream activation for experimentation, measurement, and AI applications.

• Investigate, assess, and evaluate platform and vendor solutions with a discerning focus on architecture, scalability, integration complexity, and overall ownership costs; provide feasibility assessments to guide build-vs-buy decisions.

• Identify opportunities where AI or automation can enhance operational efficiency, improve data quality, or expedite fulfillment results. Assess solutions pragmatically and advocate for their prioritization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience with enterprise commerce backbone systems, including order management, Product Information Management (PIM)/catalog, warehouse and fulfillment, store POS, replenishment, demand forecasting, or shipping/rate-shopping systems, with a clear understanding of their interactions and major leverage points.

• Experience in data and process automation utilizing analytics or predictive models (rather than just manual rules) to enhance processes such as sourcing rules, allocation, picking/packing workflows, replenishment, or returns.

• Technical proficiency: comfortable working with SQL and data analysis; foundational knowledge of APIs, data modeling, and integration patterns; capable of collaborating with engineers on event-driven architectures and microservices.

• Systems-oriented thinking and cross-functional leadership: ability to distill complex operational processes into clear requirements and foster alignment among engineering, data, operations, and business teams. Proven experience in defining OKRs and KPIs and leveraging data for prioritization.

• Strong business acumen and the ability to navigate ambiguity and incomplete information while working within a small team.
