This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take charge of a feature from the initial customer discussion to its live deployment in production.
• Draft the specifications independently and collaborate closely with engineers throughout the development process.
• Ensure that your design is implemented in production exactly as envisioned.
• Manage the components and patterns that streamline the design process.
• Administer the ticketing workflow to ensure engineers can work without interruptions.
• Create tools and develop skills that empower engineers to execute effective design work independently.
• Over 10 years of experience designing B2B SaaS desktop applications as a Staff/Principal Product Designer or in a comparable role, focusing on complex interfaces such as tables, filters, permissions, and settings pages.
• Experience as the sole designer, or one of a small team of two or three, in organizations with fewer than 50 employees at least once. You understand how to set high standards without the backing of a design organization.
• Your portfolio reflects your individual contributions; you can identify the engineer you collaborated with on each feature, the design choices you advocated for during development, and the outcomes after user release.
• You possess clear and concise communication skills in English, whether in Slack, documentation, or during calls.
• You are proficient and quick in Figma, with or without AI assistance, and have a strong familiarity with LLMs.
• You view engineering feasibility as a valuable input rather than a limitation.
• You are capable of handling product work even without the PM title.
• You welcome feedback and can return the next day with improved solutions, rather than defending outdated versions.
• Generous equity package; everyone is considered an owner.
• 26 days of vacation plus local public holidays.
• Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
• €1,000 annual budget for personal development.
• Flexibility for remote work and a co-working budget.
• Access to the latest equipment.
• Team retreats once or twice a year, with recent locations including Costa Brava, the Austrian Alps, and Milan.
• Local hubs available in Munich, Berlin, and London, along with visa support for relocation.
