Senior Platform Engineer – SRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Become a part of our team and assist our clients with specific projects such as cloud migration.

• Provide support to a team of skilled Software Craftspeople.

• Configure CI/CD pipelines and other related tasks.

• Ensure high-quality software delivery by implementing Extreme Programming practices and adhering to Software Craftsmanship values in continuous delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably within a consultancy setting.

• Proficiency in both Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

• Experience in developing scalable and automated cloud platforms, ideally with AWS (EKS, IAM, VPC, networking, Route53, ALB/NLB, RDS, S3, etc.).

• Familiarity with provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code and constructing CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like Terraform, ARM (Azure Resource Manager), or CloudFormation (AWS).

• Knowledge of containerization technologies and various orchestration platforms, with experience in designing and managing them, preferably Kubernetes.

• Experience collaborating with external partners on requirements and designs that are scalable and delivered punctually.

• Understanding of logging and monitoring practices.

• Background in service design and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, etc.) for effective troubleshooting and optimization of software systems.

• Strong commitment to sustainable and secure practices.

• Demonstrated ability to take technical ownership, collaborate across multiple engineering teams, and drive platform initiatives during complex modernization or cloud migration programs.

• Bonus points for experience with provisioning tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Basic programming language knowledge to provide tooling (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).

• Experience in conducting performance and load tests at scale, with the ability to forecast future capacity needs.
