Senior Node.js Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain high-performance microservices and Lambda functions utilizing Node.js / NestJS within a Serverless AWS framework.

• Execute serverless solutions employing AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and associated services while adhering to cloud-native best practices.

• Create and uphold integrations and processing workflows pertinent to accounting, taxation, and payment data.

• Architect and implement event-driven flows through EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and various messaging patterns.

• Model and manage data repositories using DynamoDB and S3 for both transactional and archival purposes.

• Develop and sustain automated unit and integration tests (Jest) while supporting CI/CD pipelines.

• Engage in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers.

• Monitor, diagnose, and enhance application performance, reliability, and security in a production environment.

• Work closely with Product Managers, QA Automation, and other engineers to guarantee that solutions align with business, compliance, and traceability requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of extensive professional experience in building backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Practical experience with essential AWS services: Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and S3.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing serverless architectures utilizing the Serverless Framework.

• Strong grasp of event-driven architectures and integration methodologies.

• Hands-on experience in writing automated tests with Jest and maintaining code that is testable.

• Experience collaborating within Agile teams and contributing to iterative delivery processes.

• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for distributed systems.

• Fluent in Spanish; intermediate proficiency in English.
