Senior Mobile Engineer – Cross-Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and enhance the Grove patient-facing mobile application.

• Familiarize yourself with the existing codebase.

• Set and uphold architecture standards.

• Assume responsibility for the mobile layer as a subject matter expert.

• Work in close collaboration with an offshore development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on mobile engineering experience using React Native or Flutter — with delivered applications, not just prototypes.

• Strong cross-platform expertise — comprehends the balance between shared code and platform-native behavior, knowing when to deviate from the abstraction.

• Experience in consuming REST and FHIR APIs in mobile applications — including pagination, error management, token refresh, and offline caching.

• Familiarity with AWS Cognito or equivalent identity/authentication integration within a mobile setting — managing tokens, multi-factor authentication, and session handling.

• Knowledge of HIPAA-compliant mobile development — including secure local storage, handling of Protected Health Information (PHI), and controls for screenshots/clipboard.

• Experience with App Store and Google Play deployment processes — including provisioning profiles, signing, phased rollouts, and handling rejections.

• Experience collaborating with an offshore or distributed engineering team — covering asynchronous collaboration, pull request reviews, and design documentation.
