This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.
β’ Take ownership of the complete delivery process for agentic, full-stack systems, from initial prototype development to stable production, working alongside defense and intelligence clients.
β’ Develop and implement machine learning services utilizing LLMs, embeddings, RAG, and agent orchestration within production settings, including classified and air-gapped environments.
β’ Collaborate directly with clients to define challenges, plan delivery timelines, and deploy innovative AI applications under real-world constraints.
β’ Systematize repeatable patterns into reusable tools and foundational components that enable the team to expedite delivery.
β’ A background in the defense or intelligence sectors is essential.
β’ Daily and intuitive use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) is expected.
β’ Experience in prompt engineering through intricate architecture and debugging sessions, utilizing LLMs throughout the entire development lifecycle.
β’ Proficient in modern agent frameworks and SDKs (LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Claude Agent SDK, AutoGen, or similar).
β’ Familiarity with MCP or analogous LLM integration frameworks.
β’ A realistic understanding of AI limitations, knowing when to trust AI-generated outputs and when to seek verification.
β’ Skilled in infrastructure management (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).
β’ Strong knowledge in encryption, authentication, Linux systems administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
β’ Experience in launching agentic services and AI applications that provide operational value at customer locations.
β’ Background as a forward-deployed engineer or in a tech-led delivery role, working closely with mission clients, assessing challenges, planning delivery, and deploying innovative agentic applications under stringent constraints.
β’ Experience with federated or privacy-preserving data architectures (such as differential privacy and secure enclaves).
