This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serving as the primary frontend developer on Expert Services projects with Mendix clients, responsible for ensuring delivery quality and scalability.
• Offering advice and guidance to clients on optimizing the user interface of their Mendix applications, empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency on the platform.
• Creating reusable UI components utilizing CSS, SASS, HTML5, and React, while leveraging the Mendix Atlas UI Framework across Responsive, PWA, and Native environments.
• Making independent, informed visual and UX choices on projects lacking dedicated design resources — guaranteeing that applications are polished, consistent, and user-focused.
• Converting business requirements directly into intuitive UI designs, overseeing the complete process from concept to execution.
• Establishing and sustaining visual consistency across applications through self-directed application of design systems, typography, spacing, and color theory.
• Leading project meetings and Scrum ceremonies, advocating for Scrum methodologies with customer stakeholders.
• Contributing to internal documentation, UI patterns, and the sharing of best practices within the Expert Services team.
• Enhancing your project portfolio and personal brand within the Mendix developer community by producing and sharing valuable frontend content.
• Over 4 years of experience in frontend development and/or consulting and application delivery.
• Proficient in CSS, SASS, HTML5, and React; experience with React Native is a significant advantage.
• A strong design sensibility — the capability to make independent aesthetic and UX choices that adhere to professional design standards without direct guidance from a designer.
• A portfolio that not only demonstrates technical implementation but also highlights thoughtful, visually polished UI work. (This is required as part of your application.)
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma, with the ability to independently create wireframes or mockups when necessary.
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles to ensure high-quality outcomes regardless of project team composition.
• Experience in developing mobile-friendly, responsive web applications.
• Mendix Advanced Certification (or a willingness to obtain it).
• Proven track record of building trusted client relationships and navigating complex project dynamics.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and innovative projects.
• Collaborative and engaging work environment.
• Support for professional development and continuous learning.
• Flexible working arrangements to promote work-life balance.
