Senior Medical Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Ensure precise and uniform coding of medical data for clinical trials.

• Conduct independent reviews of data coded by third parties to guarantee consistency.

• Supervise outsourced work to CRO by reviewing medical coding and synonym dictionaries.

• Engage in the evaluation and upkeep of guidance and training documentation for coding standards in line with ICH guidelines, client's coding protocols, and dictionary definitions.

• Provide assistance to other departments regarding dictionary utilization and coding quality.

• Collaborate on developing and maintaining CDM documents related to coding activities.

• Support and oversee MedDRA and WHO Drug Dictionary upversion activities for both client and third-party vendor-operated studies.

• Ensure adherence to industry quality standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in nursing, biology, or a health-related field.

• Fluency in English.

• Over 5 years of experience in medical coding using MedDRA and WHO Drug Dictionaries.

• More than 5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry or CRO environment.

• Familiarity with ICH/GCP guidelines and methodologies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

• Experience with coding applications, such as Veeva and Medidata RAVE Coder, is desirable.

• Experience with data warehouse tools (e.g., Elluminate, CORE).

• Strong understanding of Clinical Data Management processes and relevant regulatory requirements.
