• Take charge of the global PR strategy and execute it in markets for new product launches — both hardware and software — by crafting narratives that extend beyond specifications, with direct responsibility for the US, CA, MX, and Australia.
• Actively seek out and create stories that broaden Aura's brand identity beyond just a "digital picture frame," encompassing culture, technology, family, and human connections.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with journalists and editors across tech, lifestyle, and general interest media outlets to secure impactful feature stories, reviews, and commerce placements.
• Develop and oversee Aura's editorial calendar, crafting timely pitches that align with cultural moments, seasonal buying trends, and business milestones.
• Expand Aura's content affiliate platform by managing publisher relationships, overseeing editorial commerce placements, and driving measurable impacts on traffic and revenue.
• Act as the primary strategic leader for Aura's AMPAC PR agencies (US, Canada, Mexico, Australia), setting priorities, managing timelines, and ensuring partners are accountable for results. Collaborate effectively with global agency teams in the EU and UK.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on the business impact of PR initiatives — linking coverage to traffic, conversion, and revenue. Utilize data to continuously refine strategy and advocate for PR's pivotal role in Aura's growth.
• Collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Communications & Product Marketing, as well as product and leadership teams, to ensure alignment of PR efforts with broader business objectives.
• 8–10 years of experience in consumer or tech PR, either in an agency or in-house setting.
• Established connections with media in tech, lifestyle, and general interest sectors.
• Proven experience with consumer tech products, including hardware, software, and apps.
• Demonstrated success in securing feature stories rather than just product or gifting mentions.

• Strong narrative abilities — adept at uncovering stories that others might overlook.
• Experience in planning and executing product launch campaigns from initial brief to coverage.
• A natural collaborator who thrives in close partnership with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Flourishes in a fast-paced startup environment characterized by high ownership and minimal supervision.
• Generous stock option program that begins vesting after one year.
• Comprehensive health plans, with Aura covering 100% of the premium for employees and 50% for families.
• 401(k) plan with matching, where Aura fully matches the first 4% of your salary contributed.
• Complimentary lunch and snacks available in SF & NY offices.
• Monthly fitness allowance of $150 for gym memberships, coaching, etc.
• Flexible time off policy, with a requirement to take a minimum of 10 days off each year.
