Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Create AI algorithms, prototypes, and solutions tailored for the healthcare sector, emphasizing foundation models and self-supervised learning;

• Enhance models and training pipelines for precision, scalability, and swift experimentation;

• Adhere to agile methodology and software engineering best practices, prioritizing test-driven development, rapid prototyping, validation, and iteration;

• Deliver consistent technical and project-related progress reports, ensuring thorough documentation of all advancements;

• Engage with existing literature to benchmark and implement cutting-edge techniques and algorithms;

• Conduct rigorous evaluations of generative AI models and collaborate closely with teams focused on large-scale model training;

• Foster a culture of excellence by addressing challenges as they arise, promoting best practices, integrity, and agility, as well as advocating for the Harrison mission both internally and externally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in a machine learning engineering or applied research capacity, collaborating closely with software development teams;

• In-depth knowledge of Python and contemporary deep learning frameworks like PyTorch;

• Practical experience in constructing foundation models and employing self-supervised learning techniques;

• An honours degree or higher in computer science, and/or a strong quantitative background complemented by relevant software engineering experience;

• Proven experience in the evaluation of generative AI models and collaboration with large-scale model training initiatives.
