Senior Lead Database Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Lead the technical strategy for ensuring database reliability across multiple systems.

• Design and develop automation-centric database platforms.

• Drive operational excellence by establishing service level objectives, monitoring database performance, and addressing production issues.

• Enhance database efficiency and cost-effectiveness across different environments.

• Collaborate closely with application engineering teams to implement safe database practices.

• Utilize AI to boost engineering productivity.

• Provide mentorship to engineers throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Database Reliability Engineering, Database Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering with a strong emphasis on databases.

• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, along with practical experience in MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, ScyllaDB, Aerospike, Aurora, Cloud SQL, and various managed cloud database services.

• Extensive experience in building and managing stateful workloads on Kubernetes utilizing StatefulSets, Persistent Volumes, database operators, Terraform, Pulumi, FluxCD, ArgoCD, GKE, and EKS.

• Hands-on software development experience in Go or Python.

• A data-driven and automation-oriented approach.

• Practical experience with AI tools.

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
