Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Design new applications and maintain the source code of existing ones.

• Participate in a SCRUM team to develop and construct intricate application solutions for customer DTAG.

• Act as a professional mentor for junior and mid-level developers.

• Address user requests by consulting with both internal and external customers, as well as project managers.

• Assess customer requirements and suggest the overall design of mid-sized application architecture, including interfaces and relational database structures.

• Conduct in-depth business analysis to enhance application functionality.

• Provide project estimates and timelines, detailing the total hours for development, testing, and bug fixing, and communicate these to the customer for budget planning in advance.

• Translate customer requirements into functional and user-friendly applications using the specified object-oriented programming language.

• Test programmed functionalities prior to deployment to prevent bugs and ensure code quality.

• Apply security concepts in accordance with PSA policy within the developed application.

• Offer mentoring support.

• Participate in internal evaluation processes.

• Hold product responsibility from a technological perspective.

• Negotiate with Product Owners/Project Managers regarding the technology stacks utilized in projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technologies.

• Have at least 5 years of experience in developing complex solutions.

• Carry some experience in application programming using object-oriented programming languages.

• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum).

• Demonstrate advanced skills in Programming, Hardware/Software Overview, and General IT Overview.

• Exhibit strong soft skills including Communication, Analytical Thinking, and Team Cooperation.

• Proficient in English at a minimum B2 level; knowledge of German is an advantage.
