Senior IT Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Support the identification, analysis, and evaluation of risks, particularly those related to IT, cybersecurity, and data security across Mercury.

• Plan and scope various audits pertaining to Mercury’s products and operations.

• Perform process walkthroughs and carry out audit testing to verify the effectiveness of internal controls in both design and operation.

• Evaluate adherence to Mercury’s compliance requirements.

• Communicate, document, and report on any audit issues discovered.

• Work collaboratively with teams to create suitable action plans, monitor the remediation of audit issues, and conduct follow-up testing on those issues.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in scoping and planning complex, new audits.

• Proficient in conducting walkthroughs, developing audit test plans, and executing testing of internal controls.

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to assist with daily workflows.

• Background in working with financial services companies, along with a solid understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and risk management standards in the financial sector.

• Familiarity with IT control frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT.

• Exposure to cloud environments like AWS and the associated security controls.

• Experience conducting security and threat assessments.

• Capacity to quickly comprehend and understand intricate business processes.

• Ability to establish relationships and collaborate across functions to manage time-sensitive deliverables, issue tracking, and reporting.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Skill in managing one's schedule to ensure timely completion of tasks.

• A proactive self-starter who enjoys innovating and considering ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
