This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design, test, document, and deploy high-quality software into production.
• Create features and tools utilized by you and your team.
• Engage in the on-call rotation as necessary to resolve software issues.
• Raise concerns when tasks or projects encounter obstacles.
• Take part in code reviews to uphold code quality and disseminate knowledge.
• Contribute to team planning and design discussions, enhancing expertise in design methodologies.
• Influence software quality and customer experience regarding product features.
• Enhance testability, operational excellence metrics, and team documentation.
• Assist your team in defining and adhering to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of our engineering strategy.
• Acquire a fundamental understanding of our industry, product offerings, feature set, and roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with our product team and other internal stakeholders to make technology decisions that advance and enhance our products.
• Aid in onboarding and mentoring junior engineers and interns.
• Keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends in software development.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally to Fanatics offices and other venues for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing highly scalable iOS applications.
• Proficient in Swift as the main development language.
• Team-oriented mindset, with a commitment to accomplishing tasks and a drive for improvement.
• Knowledgeable about Agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology.
• Flourishes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift frequently and decisions are made rapidly.
• Capable of working effectively across functions within an enterprise setting.
• Familiar with modern Swift versions.
• Experienced with iOS frameworks such as SwiftUI, UIKit, XCTest, and Core Animation.
• Knowledgeable in RESTful APIs, including both writing and integrating with them.
• Strong debugging and profiling skills to debug, profile, and optimize iOS applications.
• Understanding of design patterns such as MVVM, coordinators, routers, and publishers, and their implications for testability.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Familiarity with Kotlin and/or Go.
• Experience with or exposure to server-driven user interfaces (SDUI), particularly in conjunction with experimentation techniques like A/B testing.
• Background in working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Swift Package Manager, and Xcodegen.
• Proficient in writing and maintaining unit, integration, and UI tests.
• Familiar with dependency injection and creating mocks.
