Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee scalable cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform and Kubernetes.

• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines along with GitOps deployment workflows.

• Improve observability through effective monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident management.

• Implement platform security measures, manage secrets, and ensure infrastructure compliance.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance deployment reliability and developer experience.

• Contribute high-quality production Go code for platform tooling and automation.

• Investigate and integrate AI tools that boost engineering productivity and operational excellence.

• Assist in the evolution of Jimdo's internal cloud platform, which supports deployments, observability, networking, and developer workflows across the organization.

• Influence platform strategy and develop solutions that have an impact on all product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes in a production environment.

• Profound knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.

• Experience with AWS, with a preference for EKS.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or comparable CI/CD tools.

• Comfortable with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or other modern observability platforms.

• Proficient in writing production code, preferably in Go.

• A strong passion for platform engineering, automation, and large-scale problem solving.

• Must be eligible to work within the EU.
