This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist in the identification, analysis, and resolution of vulnerabilities present in operating systems and servers.
• Implement security patch applications across Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Aid in the analysis of vulnerabilities detected by security tools, helping to prioritize them based on their criticality, exposure, and business impact.
• Contribute to the management, monitoring, and reduction of the backlog of critical and high-severity vulnerabilities.
• Assist in addressing vulnerabilities associated with hardening, outdated operating system versions, infrastructure components, and baseline software.
• Help in the technical validation of applied fixes, ensuring remediation effectiveness and compliance evidence.
• Support the analysis of vulnerability recurrence and recommend preventive measures to mitigate reoccurrence.
• Track remediation SLAs based on criticality and client-defined policies.
• Aid in the collection, consolidation, and analysis of data for technical reports, operational indicators, and vulnerability dashboards.
• Assist in gathering technical information regarding clients' server estates.
• Ensure tasks are performed in alignment with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, and Configuration Management).
• Support the operational functions of the infrastructure and security team.
• Assist in automation initiatives for operational tasks, including information collection, server inventory, patch status validation, and recurring routines.
• Conduct critical analyses and validations of procedures in complex environments with significant business risks.
• Aid in managing exceptions, action plans, and risk register entries when immediate remediation is unfeasible.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience in vulnerability management, operating system updates, and patching processes.
• Understanding of analyzing vulnerabilities identified by tools such as security scanners, with the ability to assist in their prioritization.
• Familiarity with applying security patches, conducting post-deployment validation, and basic troubleshooting in the event of failures.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Strong analytical skills and a critical mindset for validating procedures and actions in complex environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Grafana, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation, including Shell Script, Bash, and Python.
• Familiarity with automation tools and infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform, and other IaC tools).
• Experience in middleware environments such as WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, among others.
