Senior Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the secure development, implementation, and maintenance of both existing and new business services and functions.

• Deploy and manage security IAM technologies and procedures throughout the enterprise.

• Collaborate closely with Enterprise IT teams to secure access to WEX infrastructure and applications.

• Configure, automate, troubleshoot, and maintain identity access platforms and supporting infrastructure.

• Install, implement, and configure security applications that monitor systems and infrastructure.

• Monitor systems for irregular behavior and establish preventive measures.

• Plan, develop, implement, and update the organization’s information security strategy.

• Manage security business-critical tasks and oversee security systems administration.

• Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot global security tools and services.

• Identify, define, and document system security requirements while recommending solutions to management.

• Develop, execute, and track security measures to protect information, servers, and computer systems.

• Create guides, standards, and reports that include findings, outcomes, and recommendations for enhancing security.

• Troubleshoot information security issues within a complex environment.

• Provide technical and professional mentorship to other engineers.

• Participate in an on-call rotation that may involve night and weekend shifts.

• Deliver projects and tasks within defined timelines with minimal supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in written and spoken English communication.

• Hands-on administrative and development experience with Identity Access platforms, including installation, configuration, and administration.

• Strong grasp of Identity Access Management, encompassing governance, lifecycle, and compliance.

• Experience in scripting and automation using languages such as Java.

• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Practical understanding of modern IT infrastructure, networking, and security engineering concepts.

• Capability to troubleshoot information security issues within a complex environment.

• Over 3 years of experience in engineering and implementing solutions that fulfill security, compliance, and business requirements.

• Ability to meet defined project and delivery timelines with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, which may include night and weekend shifts.

• Exceptional written and verbal customer support skills.

• Familiarity with commonly used identity tools and platforms.

• Experience with OKTA, Auth0, Delinea PAM, CrowdStrike Identity Protection, AI-enabled IT access, process automation, or vulnerability remediation is advantageous.
