Senior Individual Disability Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Take charge as a decision-maker, concentrating on addressing complex issues while making timely and thoughtful resolutions for client challenges.

• Examine medical, financial, and other relevant claim documentation.

• Enjoy opportunities to engage with customers face-to-face.

• Deliver precise claims decisions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, ensuring compliance with all state and department of insurance regulations.

• Assume a leadership role by collaborating with various business divisions, including both internal and external partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in handling insurance claims (Individual Disability Claims).

• A college or university degree, or a high school diploma accompanied by significant relevant work experience.

• Proven understanding of claim management strategies and critical thinking skills that involve analysis and/or investigation.

• Experience in delivering exceptional customer service.

• Strong attention to detail coupled with demonstrated written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven experience in managing competing priorities while adhering to deadlines.

• Proficient in negotiation skills, solution strategies, and the application of appropriate resources.

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
