This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Leading or assisting in consulting projects aimed at aiding state Medicaid agencies and related organizations in designing, obtaining authority for, and implementing their programs.
• Conducting research on Medicaid policy and developing strategies while creating innovative solutions in a fast-evolving healthcare policy landscape.
• Providing comprehensive synthesis and analysis of intricate Medicaid legislation, regulations, and federal directives.
• Crafting state policy documents and program materials.
• Reviewing both emerging and existing regulatory requirements to comprehend their implications for state clients’ programs.
• Researching and pinpointing leading-practice program methodologies.
• Preparing reports for clients and creating clear and compelling presentation materials.
• Communicating results effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Facilitating discussions with clients and other stakeholders as necessary to assist clients in developing their preferred policy options.
• Being accountable for project management and monitoring tasks and deadlines—may serve as an overall project manager or collaborate as part of a team on larger projects.
• Maintaining and enhancing subject matter expertise.
• Exceptional strategic thinking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word; proficient in Excel.
• Experience managing workstreams and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Required Bachelor's degree in health policy, public policy, health management, public health, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in any combination of the following: State Medicaid agency experience, CMS experience, or similar consulting or Medicaid-related roles.
