• Do you have a strong enthusiasm for Elixir and functional programming while also enjoying the complete development of end-to-end experiences?

• In this role, you'll design and manage intricate agent orchestration systems, establish frameworks for human-agent collaboration, and deliver tangible product features mainly through agent-assisted development alongside human colleagues.

• This position will primarily concentrate on enhancing the Customer Experience (B2B2C) aspect of the business, which includes developing a superior user experience in a revamped greenfield booking flow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong backend expertise in Elixir, encompassing API design, data modeling, SQL, service reliability, and troubleshooting production issues.

• A dedication to creating impeccable user experiences: keen on meticulously following design mockups, embracing a “customer experience first” approach, and prioritizing well-tested code—bugs in production are a significant concern for you.

• A comprehensive understanding of development and its complexities: capable of recognizing and bridging the gap between frontend and backend challenges.

• Flexibility in a rapidly evolving tech landscape: consistent daily usage of AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) within a production engineering environment.

• Proficiency in critically assessing AI-generated code: able to detect logical errors, pinpoint security vulnerabilities, evaluate maintainability, and take ownership of what is merged, regardless of the original authorship.

• Strong instincts in system design: you consider trade-offs, edge cases, and the implications of scaling or failure.

• Effective and empathetic communicator: you highlight gaps in specifications, can explain your technical decisions, enjoy collaboration, and strive to understand various viewpoints while maintaining a constructive approach in disagreements.

• Self-driven and accountable: you proactively advance your work without needing reminders and seek ways to remove obstacles for yourself and the team regarding business priorities; you relish the ownership of your projects and seeing code through from ideation to deployment.

• A fervor for Elixir and functional programming.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in development using Elixir and/or JavaScript.

• Strong coding practices, including peer code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration, TDD, and similar methodologies.

• Solid grasp of AI tools and the ability to identify pitfalls, allowing you to adjust AI-generated code based on a deep understanding of production software fundamentals.

• Experience participating in an on-call rotation and readiness to assist with occasional production issues outside of regular hours when on-call.
