Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer, Web Performance & Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Comprehensive Leadership: Oversee the design and execution of intricate web projects from concept development and architectural design to implementation and iteration.

• User Acquisition Enhancement: Propel improvements in user engagement by refining browsing experiences and login processes (e.g., One Tap, FedCM, social authentication).

• Architectural Design: Create and implement scalable, high-performance frontend architectures utilizing React and Next.js.

• Performance Optimization: Detect and capitalize on opportunities to enhance site performance, with a focus on Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse metrics, and sophisticated data-fetching techniques.

• Data-Driven Development: Establish and execute A/B testing, feature flags, and progressive rollouts to guide product decisions based on real-time analytics.

• Monitoring & Analytics: Improve tracking, telemetry, and error monitoring to deliver comprehensive insights into user interactions and system reliability.

• Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to influence the roadmap and prioritize impactful initiatives.

• Platform Improvement: Assist in SEO strategies and enhancements to the content platform, including CMS integrations and structured data.

• Coaching: Elevate the standards for code quality and engineering practices by mentoring fellow engineers and enhancing the developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in developing modern, large-scale web applications.

• Core Technologies: Expertise in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

• Web Performance Expertise: Profound knowledge of Core Web Vitals, SSR/CSR tradeoffs, caching mechanisms, and Lighthouse optimization techniques.

• Growth-Focused Engineering: Demonstrated experience in designing and executing A/B tests and managing gradual feature deployments.

• Data Analytics Proficiency: Strong background in analytics, tracking, and telemetry systems.

• Full-Stack Exposure: Experience working across the technology stack (Node.js and/or Ruby on Rails) and integrating with complex APIs.

• Architectural Insight: Capability to make strategic decisions that balance speed, scalability, and maintainability.
