Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer – Web Performance, Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Comprehensive Leadership: Oversee the design and execution of intricate web projects from the initial idea and architectural framework to deployment and continuous improvement.

• User Acquisition Enhancement: Propel user acquisition by refining browsing experiences and login processes (e.g., One Tap, FedCM, social authentication).

• System Design: Create and deploy scalable, high-performance frontend architectures utilizing React and Next.js.

• Performance Optimization: Discover and implement strategies to enhance site performance, concentrating on Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse metrics, and advanced data-fetching techniques.

• Growth Through Data: Establish and execute A/B testing, feature flags, and progressive rollouts to guide product decisions with real-time insights.

• Monitoring & Analytics: Advance tracking, telemetry, and error monitoring to gain profound insights into user interactions and system reliability.

• Collaborative Approach: Work closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to influence the product roadmap and prioritize impactful initiatives.

• Platform Improvement: Aid in SEO strategies and enhancements to the content platform, including CMS integrations and structured data.

• Coaching: Elevate coding standards and engineering practices by mentoring fellow engineers and enhancing the developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional Experience: 5+ years of expertise in developing modern, large-scale web applications.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

• Web Performance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Core Web Vitals, SSR/CSR tradeoffs, caching strategies, and Lighthouse optimization techniques.

• Growth-Focused Engineering: Demonstrated success in designing and executing A/B tests and managing gradual feature rollouts.

• Analytics Experience: Solid background in analytics, tracking, and telemetry systems.

• Full-Stack Exposure: Experience working throughout the stack (Node.js and/or Ruby on Rails) and interfacing with complex APIs.

• Architectural Insight: Capability to make strategic decisions that balance speed, scalability, and maintainability.

• Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with modern authentication methods (OAuth, Google One Tap, FedCM).

• SEO Knowledge: Understanding of technical SEO best practices.

• Observability Tools: Experience with platforms such as Datadog or similar error-monitoring solutions.

• Content Management Familiarity: Knowledge of headless CMS platforms like Contentful.

• Developer Experience: Background in enhancing developer tools, documentation, and internal processes.
