This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Develop and maintain production-level applications utilizing Next.js (App Router), React, and TypeScript — including dashboards, chat/copilot interfaces, and agentic research UIs.
• Create and implement data visualizations (such as time series, breakdowns, combo charts, KPI strips) using a charting library (we utilize ECharts) — ensuring they are readable, efficient, and aligned with our brand.
• Design AI/agent user experiences: streaming "thinking" traces, multi-step/agent fan-out progress, grounded follow-up conversations, and the rich result artifacts (boards, reports, canvases) that users analyze.
• Manage and enhance a design system — including design tokens, reusable components, motion/animation, and accessibility — to maintain visual consistency across a large surface area.
• Prototype using a mock-first approach for swift product iteration, then transition validated flows to real data and APIs.
• Ensure performance and accuracy: React rendering, SSR/hydration, bundle size, and the nuanced bugs associated with modern React.
• Perform light fullstack integration: constructing and consuming REST/JSON APIs, connecting a backend service or BFF endpoint, shaping data contracts, and integrating LLM/agent backends.
• Maintain the codebase's health: ensuring it is typed, linted, documented, and easily accessible for the next developer (human or AI agent) to engage with.
• Over 3 years of experience building web applications with React and TypeScript in a production environment.
• Proficient with a modern React framework (Next.js or similar) — understanding App Router, SSR/CSR trade-offs, data fetching, and routing.
• Strong command of CSS and a utility framework (such as Tailwind), along with the ability to translate designs into pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible UI.
• Experience in data visualization and charting, making complex information easily understandable.
• Solid product intuition — able to make sensible UX decisions independently while paying attention to details (states, empty/loading/error, motion, micro-interactions).
• Comfortable with Git, code review processes, and shipping in an iterative manner; you write code that aligns with the surrounding codebase.
• Capable of setting up and consuming an API — whether Node/Express or Python/FastAPI — and understanding request/response structures, authentication, and asynchronous behavior.
• Familiar with integrating LLM/agent APIs (streaming responses, tool/function calls) and modeling that on the frontend.
• While not needing to be a backend expert, you should be able to function without waiting on one.
• Experience with AI-native UX: copilots, RAG/agent interfaces, streaming/token-by-token UIs, or "show your reasoning" patterns (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience in building or maintaining a design system/component library (preferred but not mandatory).
• Exposure to the fintech/payments domain (including acceptance rates, routing, fraud, PSPs) — or a strong willingness to learn quickly (preferred but not mandatory).
• Vacations and additional PTO 🏝️
• Remote work from anywhere 💻
• Economic support for health insurance, internet, and cell phone expenses 📱🌐
• Ownership in DEUNA through stock options 💸
• Access to a learning and development platform 📚
• Join a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team 🧡
• Opportunities for growth and career advancement 🚀
