Senior Frontend Engineer – all genders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take a hands-on approach to modernize a critical frontend application by addressing technical debt, refactoring outdated code, and making practical engineering choices that prioritize speed, quality, and long-term viability.

• Create and enhance frontend standards in areas such as UI consistency, accessibility (WCAG), testing methodologies, and overall code quality.

• Participate in the development of reusable component libraries and design system integrations to enhance consistency and scalability throughout the product.

• Work closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering teams to provide user-focused experiences and ensure that technical solutions align with business objectives.

• Implement significant modernization initiatives into production, providing ownership, clarity, and technical guidance for complex frontend projects.

• Integrate AI into your daily workflow to accelerate processes, solve problems more intelligently, and continually enhance results, as this is fundamental to our company’s growth and innovation.

• Contribute to Chargecloud's mission of empowering Europe's charging heroes by developing dependable digital products that facilitate the transition to e-mobility.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a degree in Computer Science or a similar qualification that lays your technical foundation.

• Several years of practical experience in frontend architecture and the modernization of intricate web applications.

• Strong expertise in Vue, Nuxt, and TypeScript – you utilize these technologies confidently and efficiently.

• Experience in contributing to reusable component libraries, UI design patterns, or design systems.

• A solid grasp of testing practices, particularly Unit and E2E testing.

• Good knowledge of accessibility standards, with practical experience in WCAG-oriented implementation being ideal.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Engineering.

• Resilient and focused when dealing with ambiguity; comfortable navigating large-scale change initiatives.

• Proficiency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
