Senior Front-End Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and develop intricate, responsive, and accessible user interfaces in Vue 3 utilizing TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES2020+), HTML5, CSS3, and Sass.

• Design component state, composition, and reusability frameworks; produce highly optimized, modular components that can scale across various applications.

• Analyze and address front-end performance issues related to rendering, bundle size, and runtime behavior.

• Convert Figma design system outputs into production-ready code, employing auto-layout, variables, components, and Dev Mode handoff to ensure fidelity from design to execution.

• Develop and sustain reusable UI component libraries and design tokens that encapsulate the design system across products and teams.

• Spearhead the implementation of WCAG 2.1 AA compliant interfaces utilizing semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and screen reader testing.

• Perform accessibility audits, establish remediation plans, and mentor the team on accessibility best practices.

• Advocate for code quality through code reviews, automated testing, linting, and adherence to front-end engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Must possess strong proficiency in written and spoken English (85%).

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in front-end engineering, focusing on production web applications.

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES2020+), HTML5, CSS3, and Sass, with a comprehensive understanding of the browser rendering pipeline.

• Advanced proficiency in Vue 3, encompassing the Composition API, reactivity system, component architecture, state management (Pinia or equivalent), and the wider Vue ecosystem.

• Advanced proficiency in WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, including semantic HTML, ARIA patterns, keyboard interaction models, and screen reader testing.

• Proven experience in integrating Figma design system outputs into production workflows, including auto-layout, variables, components, and Dev Mode handoff.

• Familiarity with Vuetify 3, Quasar, and Tailwind CSS.

• Strong expertise in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization strategies (code splitting, lazy loading, server-side rendering, Core Web Vitals tuning).

• Experience with modern front-end tools: Vite or Webpack, ESLint, Prettier, and unit/component testing frameworks (Vitest, Jest, Vue Test Utils, Playwright, or Cypress).

• Strong discipline in Git/version control, code review practices, and familiarity with CI/CD processes.

• Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs and managing complex client-side data flows.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of functioning effectively in ambiguous situations.
