Senior Engineer – Generalist, Python, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee, enhance, and expand an AI platform that is currently operational

• Engage in a combination of backend development, data engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure tasks

• Independently convert business and product requirements into technical solutions

• Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders and consumer teams

• Set and uphold engineering best practices for the platform

• Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges as the first line of defense

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of practical engineering experience with production systems

• Generalist approach, comfortable with backend development, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure

• Proficient production-level Python skills along with robust software engineering principles

• Practical experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS, Bedrock, RDS, or similar services)

• Experience working with analytical data pipelines (SQL, Spark) and large-scale data processing

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation)

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code or similar), beyond just autocomplete features

• Proven track record in maintaining and scaling production systems, not merely developing proof of concepts

• Self-sufficient working style; no need for a project manager to guide your next steps

• Must be based in the US, due to compliance and data security requirements for the project
