Senior Engineer, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and execution of scalable, high-performance software solutions for Generative AI applications.

• Work in partnership with the data science team and other engineering groups to convert advanced algorithms and models, including Large Language Models (LLMs), into production-ready software.

• Enhance algorithms and workflows to boost performance, efficiency, and scalability, utilizing LLMs wherever applicable.

• Perform code reviews, offer technical mentorship, and guide fellow engineers to uphold code quality and best practices.

• Build and maintain data pipelines, participate in data management, and aid in the training and automation of all facets of the LLM lifecycle.

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in AI research and technology, particularly those related to LLMs, and leverage them to elevate our Generative AI engineering capabilities.

• Influence architectural choices and technical strategy to foster innovation and sustain competitive edge, integrating LLMs when appropriate.

• Investigate, develop, and apply cybersecurity protocols to protect our Generative AI systems from potential threats, including those unique to Generative AI.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate risks, adopt security best practices, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, especially concerning LLM usage.

• Take ownership of your work with complete autonomy: develop, test, deploy, and monitor your contributions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline.

• Previous experience with big data and microservices.

• Strong expertise in at least one of the following programming languages: Go (Golang), Rust, or Python.

• Familiarity with constructing and deploying scalable, distributed systems (e.g., sharding, partitioning, concurrency, etc.) in cloud environments such as AWS.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a knack for analyzing intricate issues and proposing effective solutions.

• Strong communication skills and the capability to collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary teams.

• Proven history of delivering high-quality software products in a dynamic, agile environment.
