Senior Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and implementation of secure and scalable cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Create, maintain, and enhance Terraform modules and pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and policy enforcement.

• Automate deployment processes and operational workflows utilizing Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.

• Conduct discovery and assessment activities employing tools like Flexera, Device42, Cloudamize, and native cloud utilities.

• Lead migration activities for IaaS, PaaS, and containerized workloads, ensuring optimal performance, security, and operational readiness.

• Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and project managers to create and document Cloud Design Documents (CDDs), runbooks, and implementation strategies.

• Implement and uphold cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, and adherence to CIS and NIST standards.

• Diagnose infrastructure problems and enhance environments for improved performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of Presidio’s reusable assets, templates, and automation frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including military service.

• 8–10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years focused on cloud infrastructure design and automation.

• In-depth expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including modules, workspaces, state management, and CI/CD integration.

• Practical experience with cloud networking, identity, compute, storage, and security services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Demonstrated success in executing data center or application migrations to cloud environments.

• Proficient in Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration.

• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, and hybrid connectivity solutions like ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPN, and SD-WAN.

• Knowledge of contemporary DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Strong documentation skills and effective client communication abilities.
