Senior Employee Benefits Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate renewal analyses for all coverage lines, encompassing both non-marketed and negotiated plans.

• Assess claims experience, utilization patterns, and financial performance to pinpoint risks, opportunities, and cost influencers.

• Formulate strategic, data-informed recommendations that enhance long-term benefits planning and funding strategies.

• Spearhead the development and implementation of Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for designated clients.

• Analyze and evaluate carrier proposals, highlighting competitive positioning and financial consequences.

• Create and present sophisticated financial and management reports (both scheduled and ad hoc).

• Deliver renewal analyses, performance outcomes, and recommendations to client personnel, committees, and leadership teams.

• Collaborate with Benefits Consultants in the strategic planning and design of client benefit offerings.

• Review and interpret compliance obligations, including 112.08 filings, OPEB reporting, and imputed income assessments.

• Generate financial reports for all funding structures, including fully insured and self-funded plans.

• Offer guidance and mentorship to Analysts on financial modeling, reporting criteria, and analytical methodologies.

• Work in tandem with Client Services, Consultants, carriers, and vendors to ensure cohesive execution and client results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in employee benefits, analytics, brokerage, or consulting.

• Advanced expertise in: Renewal and financial analysis

• Claims and utilization reporting

• RFP development and carrier assessments

• Strong understanding of: Fully insured and self-funded benefit plans

• Employee benefits legislation (ACA, COBRA, etc.)

• Public sector experience is preferred.

• Valid State-issued 2-15 License.
