This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and construct a robust security infrastructure, encompassing cryptographic services and other components critical to security.
• Implement secure and authenticated boot processes to guarantee device and firmware integrity from the moment of power-on.
• Create and secure Over-the-Air (OTA) update systems featuring encryption, cryptographic signing, authentication, and anti-rollback measures.
• Develop and integrate security provisioning protocols within the factory manufacturing workflow.
• Establish secure device identities and root-of-trust architectures utilizing onboard HSMs/TPMs.
• Design and implement secure debugging architectures for interfaces such as JTAG, SWD, UART, and other physical/logical connections.
• Strengthen Linux and POSIX-based operating systems to reduce attack surfaces and safeguard the software stack.
• Quickly prototype security features, identify vulnerabilities, design mitigations, and test continuous security enhancements.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in hardware security, embedded systems engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience in configuring and deploying TPMs and HSMs.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Rust, and Python.
• Experience in designing, architecting, and implementing security solutions at the operating system level.
• Core expertise in developing bare-metal embedded systems and ensuring firmware security.
• Familiarity with creating and configuring custom Linux distributions using Yocto Linux.
• Proficiency in applied cryptography and cryptographic service infrastructure.
• Experience in operating system security and OS-level hardening measures.
• Experience with secure/authenticated boot processes.
