Senior Director of Platform & Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a diverse, geographically distributed team of platform and data engineers.

• Ensure that security, stability, and scalability are core attributes of the platform.

• Co-manage the multi-year roadmap for platform engineering.

• Guide the development of Keyloop’s shared services, API gateway, and integration layer.

• Establish an API-first approach as a fundamental architectural principle.

• Drive decisions related to cloud-native architecture.

• Advocate for security-by-design in platform development.

• Design and enhance the integration platform.

• Oversee the design and implementation of Keyloop's data platform.

• Promote the strategic utilization of technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS Athena.

• Lead Keyloop's shift to an agentic software development lifecycle.

• Supervise the execution of platform engineering projects.

• Work closely with the CTO, engineering directors, architects, and product leadership.

• Extensive experience in cloud-native platform engineering on AWS.

• Demonstrated success in designing and managing shared platform services.

• Practical experience in data platform engineering.

• Background in building AI/ML infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of platform observability.

• Security-focused mindset with practical experience in enterprise security practices.

• Significant engineering leadership experience.

• Experience working in a rapidly growing software company.
