This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic direction for the Global Security program, encompassing vision, strategy, and planning for both short and long-term objectives.
• Act as the primary expert in all aspects of physical security, including asset hardening (cameras, alarms), access control systems, visitor access, travel security, executive protection, event security, and emergency/incident response and management.
• Create and uphold all physical security policies, standards, and SOPs, along with related KPIs for the organization, ensuring best practices and risk-based controls and systems are implemented.
• Evaluate physical security risks and propose/implement suitable and risk-based mitigations, which may include enhancing physical security measures at Telix locations, establishing travel risk policies, monitoring and tracking security incidents that could affect Telix personnel and assets, conducting event security evaluations, and other relevant tasks.
• Establish and supervise a virtual security operations center (VSOC) to support all security operations and events within the current Telix risk, resiliency, and security technology framework.
• Develop and execute a threat intelligence capability to pinpoint potential physical security events before they occur and offer appropriate guidance and assistance as necessary.
• Lead awareness, engagement, and training initiatives throughout the organization to promote a proactive and safe working environment.
• Ensure Telix remains compliant with all applicable regulations.
• Select, oversee, and manage all third-party physical security partners as required.
• Oversee security incident reporting and response, collaborating closely with EHS, HR, Legal, and other departments as needed to manage investigations, actions, corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Provide strategic leadership for the Telix Business Resiliency System, including vision, strategy, and planning for both short and long-term goals.
• Enhance and continue to implement all components of the Telix Business Resiliency System, in close collaboration with the SVP of Risk, Sustainability and Environmental Affairs, and functional leadership throughout the organization, including Emergency Response, Incident Management, Crisis Management, and Business Recovery/Continuity Planning.
• Work closely with the IT team to ensure alignment with Disaster Recovery planning.
• Act as the Crisis Management coordinator for the organization, in partnership with the SVP of Risk, Sustainability and Environmental Affairs.
• Serve as the primary expert in all facets of the Telix Business Resiliency System.
• Establish and manage business resiliency within the current Telix risk, resiliency, and security technology framework.
• Develop and implement threat intelligence capabilities to proactively identify potential disruptive events before they occur and provide suitable guidance and support as necessary.
• Lead awareness, engagement, and training activities throughout the organization to enhance understanding of and compliance with the Business Resiliency System.
• Ensure Telix remains compliant with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Select, oversee, and manage all business resiliency partners as applicable.
• Collaborate with functional leadership across the organization to ensure compliance with all business resiliency system requirements, including the development, maintenance, and testing of plans.
• Maintain and develop all physical security policies, standards, and SOPs, along with related KPIs for the organization, ensuring best practices and risk-based controls and systems are in place.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in physical security and/or business resiliency within pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries.
• More than 5 years of experience in building and leading physical security and/or business resiliency initiatives.
• Proven experience supporting businesses with large, global operations.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully across various functions in complex matrix environments.
• Experience leading teams in high-stress or crisis situations.
• Strong understanding of physical security standards and protocols.
• Excellent and proven communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to maintain composure, make clear decisions, and lead effectively across all organizational levels in high-pressure scenarios.
• Familiarity with relevant global standards, including ISO 22301, ISO 22320, BCI Good Practice Guidelines, ICS, ASIS Standards, and others as applicable.
