This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Design To Value strategy across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with corporate financial, innovation, and operational objectives.
• Advocate for DTV methodologies (including should-cost modeling, value engineering, teardown analysis, benchmarking, etc.) throughout the organization.
• Create DTV governance structures, annual pipeline development, prioritization frameworks, and savings tracking systems.
• Facilitate cross-functional DTV workshops aimed at product simplification, material optimization, design standardization, and the adoption of alternative technologies.
• Spearhead the development of should-cost models and provide insights to inform engineering and sourcing decisions.
• Perform global competitive product teardowns and distill insights into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to assess supplier innovations and cost-optimized solutions.
• Partner with Product Management to integrate DTV considerations into the early phases of product development.
• Act as the liaison among engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and commercial teams to ensure comprehensive alignment.
• Persuade key stakeholders on cost/performance trade-offs by utilizing thorough financial and technical analysis.
• Assist Operations in pinpointing opportunities for manufacturing productivity and process optimization.
• Achieve annual cost savings goals through DTV initiatives, ensuring clear financial validation with the Finance team.
• Assess cost-benefit analyses for proposed design modifications, including ROI, payback, and lifecycle value assessments.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive intelligence to facilitate long-term value creation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in product development, value engineering, strategic sourcing, or operations leadership.
• Proven history of leading DTV, should-cost, or value engineering initiatives that have a measurable impact on P&L.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with tools like should-cost software, CAD, DFMA, or cost-modeling platforms.
• Experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects with visibility to executive leadership.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and storytelling abilities—capable of influencing across all levels of the organization.
