
Senior DevOps Engineer – Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Design, implement, and automate extensive distributed systems.
• Develop tools and automation to enhance availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency at Five9.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software in a dynamic environment.
• Oversee production and development environments to create preventive strategies and ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Partner with delivery teams to implement software enhancements aimed at increasing availability and reducing MTTD.
• Engage in on-call rotation (8-hour shift, 7 days a week, every 3-4 weeks).
• A minimum of 7 years of experience with public cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
• At least 7 years of experience with private cloud technologies (OpenStack, VMware ESXi).
• Over 7 years of experience working with Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Extensive knowledge in networking with 7+ years of experience.
• Proficient in orchestration and management of containers using Kubernetes, Helm, GKE, and Docker.
• Familiarity with GitLab, ArgoCD, and CI/CD methodologies and tools.
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Python, or other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of Ansible configuration management tool.
• Skilled in using observability tools like Prometheus, Loki, Alertmanager, and Grafana.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience with Incident Management Processes, SRE best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven experience in designing large-scale distributed systems.
• Knowledgeable about DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
